Geisha Coffee
Geisha, or Gesha, is a varietal Arabica coffee originating from the Getcha mountain region of Ethiopia. The varietal was brought to Central America in the 1960s and it wasn’t until 2004 that it was first tasted by a panel of international coffee professionals. Since then it has won countless awards and praise from the coffee industry.
Geisha offers a complex palette that is floral, expressive, clear, and vibrant on the tongue. Some say it is the crown jewel of the coffee world! A book about it is called “God in a Cup.” It has a attracted high prices for is unique qualities.
Potenciana Café planted this Geisha coffee from seed several years ago. It is now ready for the discriminating coffee connoisseur to experience. As with all of our coffee, it is hand picked at its peak, hand processed and dried, and medium roasted by select artisan roasters.
